Fortiva: Perfect Illumination

Fortiva: Perfect Illumination

Body

In collaboration with the experienced installation company Granitor, we delivered a precision-engineered lighting solution for their client Fortiva. The project demanded a system that not only met exact lighting specifications, but was also robust enough to handle the specific requirements of the facility.

The Challenge

The project presented two distinct requirements. First, the lighting system needed to deliver a precise, pre-calculated light level — a prerequisite for optimal performance and safety in Fortiva's daily operations. Second, the nature of the facility required the fixtures to meet specific protection ratings to guarantee long-term operational reliability.

The Technical Solution

To meet these requirements, we implemented a solution based on our high-performance TM fixtures, controlled via the DALI-2 protocol. DALI-2 enabled detailed, individual control of each fixture, ensuring that the final lighting result precisely matched the pre-installation calculations developed for the project.

Each fixture was delivered with a robust cable gland (CG), providing a certified IP43 protection rating — tailored to the environmental demands of Fortiva's facility.

Products Used

  • Triton MAX TM Series
  • DALI-2 driver
  • Cable gland (CG): IP43 certified

Result

By combining DALI-2 technology with our versatile TritonLED TM fixtures, we delivered a lighting system that is highly energy-efficient, intelligent, adaptable and future-proof — meeting Fortiva's requirements for both precision and operational reliability.

Smart zone lighting for an ice rink with TritonMAX

Smart zone lighting for an ice rink with TritonMAX

Body

In collaboration with Granitor, we delivered a sophisticated lighting solution for an ice rink in Trollhättan. The requirements were multiple: training lighting over the ice controlled by several sensors covering the entire surface, emergency lighting over the ice, separate control of the spectator walkways around the rink grouped by side, and surge protection.

The Solution Six lines of MAX-series linear luminaires were interconnected via a B2L mesh network and divided into two lighting zones over the ice. Sensor modules were mounted on the cables above the ice and in three groupings outside it. The motion control is intelligent: movement in the walkways activates only the grouped luminaires, while movement on the ice immediately brings the entire hall to 100% — approximately 700 lux with a uniformity of ~0.70. Energy reduction is 60% compared to the previous lighting system.

TritonMAX emergency luminaires switch automatically to emergency mode during power failures. XP10 surge protection on each line safeguards the system against grid instabilities and power spikes.

The Result

  • 700 lux over the ice with excellent uniformity
  • Intelligent zone control — the right light in the right place
  • Built-in emergency lighting without additional fixtures
  • Surge protection on every line
  • Energy-efficient, adaptable and future-proof
